We picked up this little critter a few weeks ago on one of our many antiquing trips to Lewes. He is an antique, wooden tortoise whose shell lifts off to reveal a secret trinket box and we just couldn't leave him behind in the dusty antique shop! I presume he is of Indian origin, but if you have seen one of these boxes before and know more about it then please do let me know in the comments below :)
