I picked up this wooden, vintage pocket watch inspired necklace from Typical Freaks at Brick Lane's Sunday Up Market last month, having been instantly taken with the intricate look of it. From what I can tell, it's made of several layers of lazer-cut, engraved wood - each layer featuring a cog or two cut into it - pressed together to make the final, 3D piece. I love the depth of it and how it's so interesting to look at from whatever angle you see it. Take a look at the Typical Freaks webshop for other, similar items. Other favourites of mine are the lock and key necklace and the telephone necklace!
From above:
You feature the loveliest jewellery, and such great finds! I need to make the effort to visit Sunday Up Market, i was going to go in Sept but we ran out of time! Thanks so much for your comment in re: glossybox. I was going to purchase them month by month. I know some bloggers are Glossybox "ambassadors" (i'm not one of these, I just get free boxes at random times!) but the ambassadors tend to post sneak peaks of the boxes so i like reading them and then decide whether I want to purchase a box or not. The catch is that you would need to remember to cancel your subscription. But you can subscribe/unsubscribe/resubscribe whenever you want! Hope this helps xxx
ReplyDeleteSo unusual, imagine how much time this must take to make x
ReplyDeleteThanks for all that information on the Glossy Box, Sarah! I will def be looking out for previews of the February box and maybe treating myself to it if it is that easy to unsubscribe :) x
ReplyDeleteSuzanne - I know! It must take ages to make all the layers! I'm not sure I'd have the patience. haha x
That's gorgeous! Really unique xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate :) x
