Fashion through the ages...

The Kyoto Costume Institute's website is a dream for anyone with even a vague passing interest in fashion and costumes. You can browse through an easy to navigate timeline of costume history (from the 1750s to the 1990s) and view high quality, large scale images of some truly stunning dresses, intricate undergarments (how on earth did women wear those things day-in-day-out?!), amazing headwear and gorgeous shoes.
You may be able to tell, but I had quite a hard time picking just a small selection of images to share on this blog! I could have quite happily posted every single image from the archive. If you do one thing this week, be sure to visit the site. Your eyes will thank you for it. I promise.
